Fancy a wild weekend?
In Spring 2018 we welcomed the first guests to The Gardener's Shed, our self-catered, ‘off-grid’ retreat at Mello View. We’ve now added a small nook to include bunk beds for two little ones as well. Along with the extra sleeping space you’ll also now have a living space to huddle together on those cold Autumn nights.
The Gardener’s Shed
Situated at the top of the orchard with a view over the Axe Valley, guests are encouraged to help themselves to vegetables from the garden and eggs from the chickens. Fully equipped with linen, locally made toiletries and all the essentials needed to whip up a supper on the wood-burning stove, it makes for the perfect countryside retreat.
If you need supplies, choose from granola, sourdough bread and fruit or the full Mello View cooked breakfast, with our homemade sausages, home-cured bacon, eggs from our chickens or ducks and other delicious seasonal additions.
If you’re keen to make the most out of your stay we also have the option to book a dinner with us. And if you’ve got a jam packed day of adventuring planned we also offer a hamper service. Please just let us know ahead of your booking.
A true ‘off the grid stay’ our Garden Shed is just that. Off the grid. This means no TV, no internet and very limited mobile coverage. This gives you a real chance to recharge and truly switch off so that you can enjoy your surroundings.
